Teacher Treat Box
Getting started on a few handmade gifts and thought i would start with Adams teacher. I have had this box since February for Valentines day but i love to recycle packaging and it was in perfect condition. I added a few Christmas embellishments and i love the way it turned out. Going to fill it up with sweets. An easy inexpensive gift. I also added it to the Michaels holiday contest if you would like to come over and rate it! http://www.michaelscontest.com/uploads/1143

The first is a page for the Sketch It challenge over at A Million Little Things..one of my very favorite online shops. Is inspired by a Jana Eubank sketch..i hope i spelled that right

Wow its been awhile
Been a terrible blogger in October. I guess its just been a busy month so lets play catch up on Shawnas boring life haha. Lets start with Christmas shopping. I have one more thing to pick up for Adam and I will be done. He wants a bow and arrow like pappy. So thats his big gift this year. Hes also getting a few ds games, a new nerf gun, bakugans, dual action light saber, a few ben 10 action figures, some transformers as well as a remote control Optimus Prime and other miscellaneous items i cannot remember right now. I just picked up Maddie play kitchen today with a 20.00 off coupon at Target. Shes also getting a few dolls with a set of shoes for the one, some dress up shoes, blocks, elmo purse, sit and spin, barbie things and again other stuffi dont remember. But anyway the point is im relieved to be so far along so early! I even have all the family shopped for!
While i was out i scored some cheap Halloween clearance as well. Optimus Prime costume 3.00, Megatron costume 5.00, Tinkerbell costume 5.00...the kids will have fun playing dress up and its a few extra Christmas gifts to add. I also score a mega size bag of Snickers for under two bucks for myself.. Shhhh dont tell the hubby.
Speaking of Halloween it went well. The kids had fun and ate way too much candy. Was nice to have it on a Saturday this year. Maddie was an elephant and Adam was Bumblebee

We were all getting over some form of flu or cold so it was lucky we got to do Halloween this year. We are all still coughing away right now.
Before Halloween we went to the petting zoo at the SPCA for scouts. It was fun seeing all the animals Maddie was a bit scared at first but she warmed up

Other than that it has been rather uneventful. Packing for a crop right now..hoping there is one tonight lol. Cant wait to play with the new American Crafts Letterbox goodies. I was lucky enough to win a bunch from their blog challenge and its gorgeous! Well enough rambling for now. If you got all the way through thanks for letting me share! Hopefully ill blog sooner than a month from now this time haha

Another Look in My Scrap Room
Ive moved around and added a few things and had some people asking to see updated photos so i thought id post here.
This is my workspace. Cabinets and countertop were purchased from Home Depot i believe. I love the counter height because i like to stand and scrap most of the time. I do need to invest in a bar stook type seat thought i think
The cork/eraser board thing my dh built for above my scrap table. I love this thing. It has built in lights even. I hang my new goodies here and other decorations and family things.
On my workspace is....
This little container that holds all my journaling items
My printer and a little colendar (sp?) filled with a few mini books
Inks, stickles and more
My desktop carousel. ill be happy when dh builds my island so this wont take up all my workspace
On the other side of the room i have Maddies old changing table recycled into a shelf for my flowers, buttons, scraps, thickers and a few other items

On another side i have these shelves. Hubby bought the cabinets on top but he custom built the shelving around my paper racks which i bought from a closing lss. I also keep stickers, punch and other embellishments over here.
When im not using it i put this in front
And open

Another small shelf that houses my Slice, chipboards and smaller papers as well as some other goodies.

My ink pad shelf
Lastly is my little folding table i use for my giant trimmer until my island is finished up. The kids use it for crafting so the table is full of crayon markings.

Teaching a Class
Teaching my first online class. Hope to see you there!
Journal It………………..A month long class of journaling prompts and challenges.Starting October 15 and running through November 15, 2009 Note~able will be running a month long class of journaling prompts and challenges to help you get your photos scrapped and their stories told. The class will be given by myself, Shawna Webster. The cost will be $10.00 per person. It will be taking place in a private forum on the Note~able message boards. Every three days a new journaling prompt and challenge will be given with tips and samples to help you get inspired to create. Prompts will include a variety of different themes and challenges will include sketches, techniques, products and more. Some challenges will have due dates with prizes for random winners. In total you will have 11 prompts and challenges. Class members will also receive free shipping on one order during the class period in the Note~able store as a bonus. Also one person will be chosen at the end of class as our star pupil. The class will vote as a whole on who they believe should receive the honor and that person will receive a special addition Note~able kit. There is not kit for the class so you may use whatever products you like. Supply lists will be given for any samples used in the class though. Kit subscribers will get a discounted price of 8.00 to take the class. This will be a fun way to get better at journaling and get caught up with some scrapping so I hope you can join us!
