Sharing a new layout of Maddie using the new October Afternoon Holiday Style collection. Love this line and plan on collecting every piece! It's really great. I had Maddie tell me her Christmas list for this page. Her own self-written scribbled list is in my December Daily already so i thought i would do this one differently. Top on her list this year is a Doodle Bear.

Today i am sharing a few more layouts. I have some free time so i can actually write down some products i used. Thanks for stopping by!

This first layout is one of my daughter and a family friend Kayley. It is from 2008. I used the 6x6 paper pad from Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue. Loving this line! Also threw in some gray Sassafras Lass letter stickers, October Afternoon stickers, Jolee's pearl border, and some Prima Gillian flowers in Cinder. I cut the circles with my Accent Essentials cricut cart.

The next one i did for Studio Calicos Sunday Sketch this week. I got a bunch of tags from Office Max so i thought i would get my use out of them and made a background. I used some Amy Tangerine mixtape and a couple Studio Calico papers. I also used Studio Calico wood veneer hearts, October Afternoon label sticker, Doodlebug letter stickers and some exclusive Thickers for Studio Calico. Two more things i added were some bakers twine from the Twinery and a few tiny attacher staples.

Last one i have to share is a 12x12 using the Studio Calico Handmade kit with a few extras thrown in. Papers are Studio Calico and Crate Paper. I did a custom tag and added a For the Luv of Art stamp and also a October Afternoon butterfly and button. The twine is from My Minds Eye. I used some Thickers but i painted them with some October Afternoon mist. Letter stickers are Mini Market ones from October Afternoon. The leaves are Amy Tangerine..gray are exclusive to Studio Calico kit. The little flower, tickets and happy label are from October Afternoon as well. On the edges i used the dress pattern stamp from Studio Calicos Pin Cushin kit.

Studio Calico

Yay! Finally this is my first month as a subscriber to the Studio Calico kits. I have been watching these kits for forever!! I tried one out last month and decided to just go ahead and sign up for this month. So glad i did. Reveal day is so fun, checking out a million times so that you don't miss anything. Granted i have to set my alarm for before 6 a.m. because of the time difference but its well worth it. I thought it would be fun to share my product picks each month. and here is the layout i came up with. I redid some older pictures of Maddie that i really like. I had fun with this one. I used some of the Good Day Sunshine boy themed collection papers, some Fine and Dandy chipboard owls, and some label stickers from a couple different sheets.

DCWV Stack-A-Holic Challenge

I got the urge to do some morning scrapping today. I was browsing around for inspiration and came across this sketch from DCWV. Today is actually the last day for the challenge so i am glad i cam upon it. Also, it gave me a good excuse to pull out some of my paper stacks i hoard way too many of. Here is the layout that i came up with using the sketch.

For my paper i used the DCWV Celebration Stack. These are really fun bright birthday papers. A lot of them could be used for other themes as well.

The Basic Grey Lauderdale paper was a little bright and loud for my liking because i wanted the pics to show well. I still liked the pattern because it fit the beach theme for Hawaii. So, to solve this problem i covered up the background with a sheet of light green vellum. I cut out a few papers from a second sheet to bring just a bit of the bright colors into the layout.

Exploring and the Beach

Hi everyone. I have a couple layouts to share with you today. The first one is called Exploring. I used quite a few pictures on this one for me anyway. This is about Maddie's favorite place to explore at grandma's house. I used some Little Yellow Bicycle and Crate Paper papers. Also some Recollections and Bo Bunny flowers, Thickers, Jolee's clouds and some October Afternoon stickers.

The next one is called A Sunny Day At The Beach. I used a mix of some October Afternoon papers and stickers. Also used some Thickers and Basic Grey Felties. The little cloud border is Recollections.

Honey, I'm Home

We are finally in a house here in Hawaii and have our internet set up so i can post more! I got my scrap room set up as quickly as i could so i could play a bit. I have done two layouts but have not had a chance to upload yet. I just wanted to come check in and show a before and after pic of my new, smaller space. Yes i still crammed everything into it haha!

Hello From Paradise

So it has been a little over a week since we arrived on the island of Oahu in beautiful Hawaii. So far it has been nice. Sure, we would love to get a house and get all of our things out of storage but if we are stuck in a hotel this is the place to be stuck in one. The weather has been gorgeous. It has rained hardly at all but when it does its practically a light mist and does not last long. The mountains are beautiful and so is the beach. I think i could get used to this, and i guess i will have to. Here are a few pics for you to ogle...

The kiddos are really liking it here too

My sweet hubby even bought me some supplies to help keep my sanity so i could do some scrapbooking in the hotel room. These are with minimal supplies but i think that they turned out ok.

Sunshine Broadcast

This will most likely be my last layout post for awhile so i thought i would share these two i did using the Sassafras Lass Sunshine Broadcast line. I have been waiting for this stamp to arrive for about a week and i am really excited. The first time i saw it i HAD to have it. It is the Cover-a-Card Clouds stamp from Impression Obsession. Another fun thing i realized is that the company is right down the road (ok maybe 20 minutes or so) from us here in VA! I love to support the locals! I of course immediately had to try it out. I used the Jenni Bowlin Soap Powder ink pad and then just went right on into this layout. I give this stamp an A+!

2 New Ones

I am back with a couple new layouts. I feel the urge to scrapbook more now that my supplies are all in boxes. It figures. Only problem is its frustrating finding things and i don't seem to have any actual creative mojo. I can't seem to do anything i just love. Anyway, here is what i came up with today.

With this first one, "A Perfect Day To Play", i did a ton of stamping. I am not sure if i overdid it but i like the fun bright colors on here.

On this one, "Today Was A Good Day", i totally made up for all the stamping on the other layout and did only a tiny border. Cloud overload maybe? Oh well. A current obsession of mine.

The theme was I'm Sew Excited. You have to use sewing themed products in a neat way. This is a layout of my daughter and her Uncle Al. I used the mini spools from Maya Road to create a boarder. Also some yarn flowers on here by Recollections.

I know i have not been blogging much lately but that is because we are slowly starting to pack up for our big move. I am pretty much scrapbooking out of boxes lately and it gets a bit frustrating not being able to find what i need. Anyway..enough whining on my part. Thought i would come share a couple layouts i was able to actually finish.

This first one is one of my Cousin Carla and her adorable kiddo Brayden. The pics are a couple years old now but i am finally getting to them. I used a Cosmo Cricket strips paper from an older line. Also lots of stamping on this one which i am loving lately. The cloud border is from a Recollections set from Michaels, "Memories of You" is the Basic Grey Origins set, camera is from Imaginisce, and i honestly can't remember the candle..Kaisercraft maybe?? Anyway, on to the actual page and not my blabbing on and on!

The next page is one from a couple years ago as well..the pics, not the page. I used photoshop to print the pic collage. Papers are a mix of Bo Bunny, My Minds Eye, and Jillibean Soup. I also am loving the Hambly banner rubons and the Fiskars cloud punches are so fabulous!

So if you have not heard and you have not guessed already by my oh so subtle hint there...Hubby just got orders for August for Hawaii. So we will be packing up and flying out. I was shocked when he called today since we were not expecting orders till the end of this year but i think i am excited. Majorly stressed out about the amount of things to do for the dogs to come with us and all the other expenses we will have to come up with. Yes the Army will pay most of it but we have to pay for the pups and our 2nd vehicle. Yikes! All coming at a time when we are trying to get bills paid down and cut back and save. Oh well what can we do? Nothing but go with the flow and enjoy the idea that we will be basking in the sun when fall starts to roll around for everyone else back East. *insert really thrilled grin

Top 10 Of 2010

I have seen a lot of people doing this and i wanted to join in on the action. These are my favorite 10 layouts that i did last year and why. These are not really in any particular order. I would love to see other scrappers top 10 as well so link me up to your blogs!

For this one i love having pics of the kids together. Usually i am snapping photos of Maddie while Adam is at school so these older pics are nice. I also love the green background paper from Cosmo Cricket. Its one of my favs. So fun and bright

I love this one for the photo but also the simplicity. I didn't use much but i love the design

One of my all time favorites. I just love Maddie in this photo. I also love the large Prima flower i had been hoarding. And of course love the Bo Bunny. This was a favorite line this past year.

This one is a favorite for all the photos i used. It is not often i use this many.

I love the one photo of Maddie in this one where she is pointing. The title is inpired by Shrek. Love those movies!

Another four photo layout. Impressive for me..haha. I loved these goofy pics of Maddie and i love how the rub ons look over the bottom half.

I love this one because of the great Crate Paper Restoration line and because it won me a spot on the Creative Memories DT!

I love this 8.5x11 one. Another because of the pics of the kids. Also another favorite of mine this year are the My Little Bit of Whimsy clay embellishments. It is the cutest little ladybuy.

I loved this one for the MME paper. These were just gorgeous and full of glitter!

My most recent favorite. Loved the photo in this one and the large square doilies i found at Ben Franklin Crafts are just gorgeous. Yes i have a doily obsession.

Home Sweet Home

We are home from an almost 2 week stay at moms for Christmas. It was lots of fun and the kiddos were spoiled rotten. Lots of visiting, good food and tons of photos to edit. Took me awhile but the new toys are all put away and the suitcases are unpacked. Adam is home with the flu so i hope he does not share. Madelyn so kindly shared it with him and her pappy so far. I was also prett spoiled this year but these were my two very favorite gifts. The first from my mom/sister and the 2nd from hubby.

It has just been way too long since i posted last. I have just been crazy busy with a fun new venture i will share at the end of the month. I am also putting together some detailed classes for etsy. I must have been living under a rug because a couple weeks ago i finally discovered My Little Bit of Whimsy. The cutest products! They are a new favorite of mine. Maddie is now 3. Can't believe it, but she is. We had her party at grandma's. It is becoming a tradition every year and every year she is spoiled to death. This year the present ranged from a swingset to a bicycle to lots of Dora toys. Throw in some clothes and it was the perfect day.

Finally sharing a new page. I got the heat gun out today for some embossing. I rarely get it out so it was actually fun and not the same old same old. This is a pic of Maddie and her cousin Brayden playing when we visited for the 4th of July.

Ok say Sweet Peach Crop Shop Blog Hop ten times real fast! Kidding. Welcome to my part of the blog hop. I do not have a new technique to show you but i wanted to highlight the Studio Calico paper in the Themed kit for July..and you WILL want this kit. I had so much fun working with it and have used up most of it. For this layout i used the Studio Calico Paper and hand cut some flowers with my exacto knife. Add a littel dimension with some pop dots and hide a few embellishment under so you get a little more pop of color and added fun. This was really a super quick and easy layout. Im in love with these new Bo Bunny papers (thanks Tonya!) and this is one of my favorite new pages. I have also been wanting to use that big obnoxious purple Prima flower as well and finally had something perfect for it. Also an older pic of Maddie that i love.

Yesterday was a good day for shopping. I tried out the "mystery" coupon Old Navy sent to my email and it was 40% off! I normally always get he measely 15% one. So i got myself some shorts and some new work shoes. Of course i had to check out Piperlime while i was on the site and i also found these. I am such a shoe whore..eeeekkk

On another good note John won the ipad raffle at work. So 20.00 later for a ticket i am a new proud owner of this neat little gadget. I have been playing for a little bit and i am already in love.

New Summer Bag

Those that know me know that i have a Vera Bradley obsession. Did some shopping and found me a new bag for summer. Wanted something fun and bright so i went for a slightly older but fairly new pattern, the Bali Gold. Chose the reversible tote this time. My sister has one and i loved it so i knew this would be my next style. Isnt it pretty?

Also did some perusing on ebay and found a matching wallet. I like this style and it has lots of good nooks and crannies. I just take the removable strap off.

And last but not least to match i found a new key gob on Etsy. Love this site. I could spend hours there!

Now to wait patiently till all the packages arrive!

Handmade Embellishments

Just playing around this morning before i get to my chores. I am addicted to stick pins even if i dont use them enough to justify how many i own haha. Anyway. These were really easy. Just took a Prima flower, Doodlebug button and a pin and used gluedots to stick them all together. Then i cut the ribbon to mimick leaves. Really cute! Secondly i decided i wanted to pull out the polymer clay that has been collecting dust in my cabinet. I made a little set of buttons and pins. Not as good as what Tessa Ann does but i am pleased how they turned out. Anyone else getting crafty today?

Wow two posts in one day..being productive here..Actually its just a quick one. I had to share the cutest buttons i ordered from Tessa Anns Etsy shop. I requested some custom made ones and she did a fabulous job on them. If you love buttons like i do head over to her store and splurge a bit. She does really fabulous work! Borrowing her fun image!

Back from Chicago

I'm back and had a wonderful time in Chicago!Provocraft and ASM did a fantastic job considering the amount of time and people involved in this venture. I met a lot of really great people and learned a pretty good deal as well. I have some photos for those of you who are on my facebook that want to check them out. Some of us ventured out to Navy Pier (interesting trip) and they also bussed us to Gino's East for Pizza which was pretty good. Overall a fun and successful trip in my opinion. Now i am home and drop dead tired, drinking lots of coffee to keep me going today.

I am really excited to say i am officially a Cricut Demonstrator for Michael's! I got my offer email yesterday and will be headed to Chicago for training this weekend! How fun is that? I have never been so it should be an interesting trip. Hoping to get to meet lots of online friends while there. I have a bunch of things i need to get done today to prepare and Johns going nuts figuring out the babysitter situation. Of course it had to be a busy weekend for him as well. Oh well it will all work out. Couldnt miss out on this great opportunity!

A Good Review

I love to do my scrapbook shopping online and when i find a good shop i love to give them a shout out. I just love www.emmaspaperie.com The selection is great and they are wicked fast in shipping. In fact i ordered yesterday, it shipped out the same day priority and i got it today. Granted they are in MD and i am in VA but still i am totally amazed and will order again! They even have it wrapped up nice in tissue paper and ribbon with a little spool of AC ribbon on the house. Oh and i cant forget the little box of Jelly Beans included. Five stars for Emmas Paperie!

Bike Riding for Multiple Sclerosis

Some other things im excited about today...did a little shopping.
This Cricut cart just looks great! Its available on HSN and i couldnt pass it up. If you get one be sure to search for a coupon because i found one and saved eight bucks..

Secondly i normally do not like the big honkin seasonal stacks at Joanns but this one is REALLY cute if you flip through it and on sale for 9.99 this week!

Maddie and i went out deal hunting yesterday. I love hitting all the fun stores like Ross, T.J. Maxx, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots etc. to find some cheap scrappy goodness. Here are some great finds in case you are looking too

And i know i do not need another button in this house but these are great. Nice matte finish and pretty colors. Only 2.99 a pack at Ross!

Yet another random blog post. Im sitting here waiting for hubby to get home so we can go furniture shopping for Adams bedroom. He is finally passing his loft/slide bed on to Maddie and getting some "grown up " furniture. Hoping to go pick out the paint for my scrapbook island as well. Anyway....this post is to kill time until we get ready to head out. And so here comes the randomness..with lots of pics!

Happy Mail Day! Had trouble ordering the other day at Scrapbook Alley so when i finally got my order through with the customer service lady i was relieved. Got the shipping notice yesterday and it came fed ex today already. Talk about great service. Here is what i am excited about. Since i already own a cricut and slice i wanted to add this embosser to the happy family!

I got to go out shopping alone today. It was nice. Went browsing for things for my scraproom color scheme i eventually want. Anyway..my favorite find of the day..and nothing to do with my scraproom is this coffee mug. It's great! I think if i bring another mug in this house hubby is going to run me out of town though.. But who could resist?

I am the one who always finds out about the good sales and deals too late and always misses out. But for once this time i got there in time!!! I got these paper pads for 4.00 each. They are still marked 9.99 and some are not even marked at all but i remembered seeing them on the sale rack a few weeks back so i asked the cashier and sure enough four bucks each. Be sure to go check it out and ask for prices because they are not marked right!
